How do I book a session?
Just contact me via my online form or call on 07887 962 189.
How far in advance do I need to book?
In order for me to provide you with the best service (and still be a wife and a mum) I only take a limited number of commissions each month. That means that usually I’m booked up 2-3 months in advance, so the earlier you contact me – the better. However it’s not unknown for me to book a photography session with only a few days’ notice – so do get in touch.
I’d like to have a session on a weekend – is that possible?
Yes of course! Most of my family photo sessions happen on a weekend as dads are usually at work during the week.
When should I have my maternity photography session?
The best time to book your pregnancy photography session is around 7th or 8th month, when your bump is nice and big, but you’re not too uncomfortable just yet. I did photograph a pregnancy session a day before the due date once, but I really would not recommend leaving it that late!
How do I schedule my newborn photo session?
Just tell me your estimated due date (EDD) and I’ll make sure to block off some time around it. When your baby arrives, please get in touch with me as soon as possible (or get your partner to do it) and we will schedule a specific date. Newborn photography sessions are best held within 10 days of birth.
When will my photographs be ready?
After your photography session, the photographs are generally ready to view within 2-3 weeks. The finished products are usually ready for you within 5-6 weeks from payment received. If you need something quicker than that, please talk to me in advance, as some products may be finished sooner than others.
Do you have a studio?
I don’t have a studio. I work exclusively on location – that can be your home, garden or a park.
Can I purchase digital files?
Yes of course you can. I understand how important it is to have the flexibility of a digital archive, so a complete set of digital images from your session is available for purchase. Please refer to the price list I sent out to you if you enquired with me.
Will I be under pressure to place an order way over my budget?
Absolutely not! I hate pressure selling and would run a mile from anyone who tried that on me, so I will never do it myself. During your ordering appointment, I merely present you with your images and walk you though all the possible product options, advising you on what would work best for a particular image and in your home. Most of my clients find this very helpful as various frame and album options can be all too confusing if you are left to deal with the choices on your own.
Is there a minimum spend requirement?
No, there isn’t a minimum spend requirement, but my clients typically spend between £700 and £1500 on various products and digital files.
I’d like to give a photography session as a gift for someone. Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes I do – just email me for details. It’s always a good idea to buy a gift voucher that covers at least a session fee and a couple of products (for example several prints or an album), so you know your friend or family can fully enjoy the experience.
What should we wear for our photography session?
Prior to your photography session I’ll send you an extensive guide on what is best to wear.
Where the photography session is taking place?
When you book your session, we will discuss your requirements and decide on the location together. If you have a baby, your home is the better option. For toddlers and older children, a park or a wood works great.
I live in North London / Manchester / Paris. Will you travel?
Yes, I’m happy to travel reasonable distances, subject to additional travel costs.
My family and I are coming to London for holidays this summer from Europe / North America / Australia. We would like to book a photography session. Do you have any suggestions as to where we can have it?
Absolutely! I book quite a few of photography sessions like this and we tend to take pictures in the hot tourists spots such as South Bank and Tower Bridge. That said, I will never do the standard “family group looking at the camera with Tower Bridge in the background” type of picture. You really don’t need me for that. My approach is creative, and there’s just a hint of London in the photographs I create for you. If that’s something you’re after – let’s talk!
