Monthly Archives: May 2010 I recently realised that what I do most of the time with my photography session has a name, and it’s called “experiental” style of portrait photography. I engage my clients in some sort of activity – be it just walking or playing – and take pictures in the process. Although more difficult to photograph, it results in most natural, real photographs of my families. Take a look at this set of pictures involving hide and seek!  So I said I’d never ever do this. I said I’d never photograph weddings commercially. Never. Ever. But after a lot of thinking, even more hesitating, making a decision and then convincing myself otherwise, and also some encouragement from my former brides (who also happen to be my friends) I decided to take a plunge… 1 comment

Can’t help but post just one from “the push bike [...]  I believe that a good photograph should reflect the person in it, and that’s what I’m striving to achieve with my work. That’s especially true when photographing children. Series of photographs of a little girly girl will be different to the ones of a shy and thoughtful 2-year old boy. Antonina, you are so right. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. Photographing people actually involved in an activity or doing something creates some of the most beautiful photographs because they’re real. I love these photos!
